Hi everybody,

More bad news =( We have to do up 2 presentations on the following topics (theme: involving youths [sports careers])

1. what are sports-related careers / professions in the area of sports, management, sports marketing, sports business, sport physiology, sports psychology, sports biomechanics, sports sociology, motor learning, kinesiology, sports media, physiotherapy etc? Research on 2 careers that are of interest to you, on the academic requirements, nature of the career, charting of the career's development.
2. Young Olympians from China - research on a few young Outstanding Olympics athletes from China who has excel during the Beijing Olympics games

Also, we are supposed to come up with 20 MCQ question inclusive of 2 picture question pitched at Sec Level and also another 20 MCQ pitched at Pri Level (Template on Learning SMB)

Topic: Football

Both are due on 10 - Mar -10.

If there are no violent objections ...

After a laborious attempt to collate the information, I have the results of our first 2010 class elections.

The positions are fixed at least until the mid-year, where we will review and possibly give others the opportunity to take up some other of these positions.

Firstly, THANK YOU SO MUCH MENGYING FOR ORGANISING THIS OUTING!! IT WAS REALLY... WOW... for those who missed it.... TOOO BAD. XD haha... just be sure u make it for the next one!!

for ppl going for movie, pls meet at 1.50pm outside the Bukit Batok MRT gantries.I have purchased the tickets (10$, no student price cause its a saturday) the Movie we are watching is True Legend at 2.25pm. After which, we will meet up with the ppl going for just bowling.

1st EVER CT OUTING!!!!!

HI 7EFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there are no violent objections, I hereby self appoint myself as TEMPORARY WELFARE REP. Basically, I want everyone in 7F to be well fed and taken care of, so that MUGGING aside, we are able to lead a balanced and healthy lifestyle. At the end of two years, our lives in HC will be ENRICHED and COLOURED so that even if we get concussed, we wont forget our times here.

SOOOOOO...................

Lets have a CT outing next saturday (19th FEB!!!!). OUR VERY FIRST ONE and probably last one for the term since serious mugging has commenced!!!!

Here are some suggestions (all are places near sch):

1) Lunch together, then have fun at Singapore Science Centre cum OmniMax show (SCIENCE CENTRE is fun, DONT LAUGH AT THIS. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.)--->EDUCATIONAL, Engaging
2) Lunch, then POOL at IRC (quite boring)--------> CRAP/Waste Money
3) Movie then bowling at West Mall (Not bad combi) ------------> Relaxing, fun


I will inform all on this again when sch reopens. Voting/Availability/More suggestions will be taken care off once sch reopens.

For now, just state any suggestions and whether u can make it in the tagboard.

Okay just to clarify, the "some subscription thingy" in question is Newsweek.

The exact cost of the subscription is $36.30.

Students who are under the FAS or are applying for it need not pay for the subscription. Of course, the same thing applies if you already have a subscription of it.

Since CNY is coming soon, we shall practice the Chinese philosophy: 先苦后甜!

So the BAD news is...

1. If you have read the two pages of THE DEVASTATING PAPER laying around on the class bench, you'll know that we need to pay...
$21 for GP
$30+++ for some subscription thingy (i also didnt read what it is.. i just know that the amt of money needed to be paid is like BLACK n UNDERLINED n BOLD n HIGHLIGHTED)

Thus... I would have to collect another 60 dollars from all of you!! (and the rest will be going into the class fund. To make it easier without the need to deal with coins).

Please Pay after the CNY holiday!!

2. REMINDER: if you wanna subscribe to cheap economics mag, it's another 35 bucks.

I know you all will be like OMG WHERE AM I SUPPOSE TO GET ALL THESE MONEY!!! Well, I have a few suggestions.

a. Dig it out from your piggy bank / find a job and earn ur own $.$ like me!! XD

b. Promise ur parents u'll be a good boy next year in exchange for the 100 bucks reward.

Fac Dance Practice

Hi. let's go for fac dance prac as a whole class for tomorrow, shall we? since it's the last session and i am sure this will help everyone dance better. and we can win the fac shield. yay.

anyway there are also minor edits to some parts of the dance. e.g. in the first song, where there is a posing part, we are now supposed to chant 'ar' for the first pose, 'te' for the 2nd pose and 'mis' for the last pose. just in case you are not aware of this change.

and tomorrow we will be likely dancing in the formation planned by the dance ics/fac comm(i dont know which) so we will be dancing in a boy-girl pair and everyone gets a partner. so let's go dance together so we wont be embarrassing ourselves on the actual day of POP by dancing the wrong steps (and i still do so. lol)

tomorrow's venue will be banner painting area according to coolblueartemis.blogspot.com so everyone, let's do our part to help artemis win the fac shield! yay!

HAHA okay I realised that my title is pretty useless. ANYWAY, as mentioned by almost everyone.. O.o PLEASE BRING 30 BUCKS TOM TO PAY FOR THE CLASS FUND.

A quick update on 10$7F's new system

Hello everyone,

We've noticed that it has been very troublesome to obtain academic materials from the photocopying shop. Everyone has to pay the collector each time he/she takes the stuff, thus it's difficult to keep track. And for example, today's Econs lecture notes were $1.05 each. Yeah I think I don't have to elaborate more...

Our new system is that we'll be having a class treasurer (which Yu He has kindly volunteered to be *claps claps*), and we'll pay her whenever the class fund is running low. Subject reps shall obtain money from the treasurer every time you need to pay for the photocopying stuff.

For a start, $30 will be collected from everyone in 7F. Please pay Eka $2 for Maths if you haven't already done so. That will be the last occasion this new system comes into effect.

Of course, the class fund can also be used for other purposes :D But we don't have to decide until the time comes.

Class Motto

Hello everyone from 10s7f

the class motto given to use by mr tan is only 3 words (friends, family, future) and they all start with 'f'. But since we are from 10s7F, should we 'upsize' our class motto to 7 words that all start with 'f', including the 3 given ones?

1 add-on could be 'fun', cos we want our 2 years together to be fun right? and another could be 'faculty' , since other than cherishing our time with friends and family, we also spend(or will be spending) much time with our other batchmates from Artemis(and we also want Artemis to win the faculty shield, right?)

anyone got any more ideas for the other 2 (or more. then we can have some voting!) words to fit into our class motto? hope everyone likes my idea.. lol

and finally you have reached the end of sengpeing's 1st not-so-long-not-so-short blog post on our CT blog! haha. and i realised i am currently the only one who puts a title to my post. is this an anomaly?
